Does leadership and discipline compliment each other?

In my limited experience, I'm learning a huge lesson about leadership. You can't grow as a leader without discipline. The essence of a leader is leading something. Be it, a CEO of a fortune 500 company or a single mom leading the charge of three kids with three different school activities. I have seen many forms of leaders. A common thread that sticks out is their discipline. The CEO that handles budgets to personnel to the mom that handles sandwiches and mapping out the fastest route to little Jimmy's tee ball practice. These individuals must have discipline in their life to make it work. Notice I didn't say, they have to have discipline in their life to keep it from going crazy. Craziness happens, but discipline helps.

Here are a couple handles that I am learning with discipline:
The road to life is a discipline life; ignore correction and you're lost for good-Proverbs 10:1
Life is tons of discipline - Robert Frost
I don't like it at times, but I love what it produces- Rick Gannon
